Virtualbox opensource missing VER-VM-DRIVER

I got the above message using Mandriva 8 but there seems no easy solution via net immediate downloads, unlike wine codecs maybe I sould try the Suze event but wonder if the same problems would happen if you paid for Virtualbox.

Have you updated your kernel recently? or updated virtualbox?

The simplest way is (I presume you installed it via the package manager?...) to remove virtualbox via the package manager, then add it again and reboot. This will rebuild and reload the required driver to work with your updated kernel.

Don't remove your old kernel until you confirm virtualbox is working with your new kernel.
