Help repairing RH9 Linux

Hello everyone.

Everything's been working fine since the last time I needed help until last night when all of a sudden my RH9 crashed. Rebooting caused hundreds of file system errors. Although errors were fixed it removed so many things that it's virtually unusable, my shares, permissions and a lot others. I basically get several errors on bootup now and several things "Not found" and "failed".

I need to know how I can repair the installation without formating the whole thing!

Any help is appreciated.

Desperately awaiting some assistance.

I'm rather surprised no one on this site knows how to repair a broken installation, or is it that linux is so unstable that it can't be repaired!?

Gee!
