Xserver..ok. Xclients where?

Hi there. Yesterday I notice that Xserver listenes at port 7000. I learned that u can make your Xserver to answer to requests from Clients, so I want to find a way to run gnome into my client that my Xserver (other pc) will provide.

maybe your problem could get solved with vnc.
vnc means virtual network computing and may be used to connect to a remote x server.

try searching sourceforge (or other opensource-resources) for vnc.
maybe www.tightvnc.com may be what youre searching for.
