Red face PS1 environment variable


Dear All
I can set up PS1 environment variable. But what is the need for PS2,3,4 variable. FEDORA BIBLE says if you need additional information on prompt as far as I remember. How to set PS2,3,4 varibale plz let me know kindly.

Basically, PS2 is the line continuation prompt, PS3 is for the select command, and PS4 is for debugging. Not even I'm enough of a control freak to want to redefine those, but if you want to, you do it exactly as for PS1.
