[SOLVED] I cannot get wireless to work on HP Compaq 6735s Laptop with Linux Mint 9

Hi.
I cannot get wireless to work on my friends HP Compaq 6735s Laptop with Linux Mint 9. The wireless button is lit up. I can use my Desktop USB wireless adapter alright.

Please help.

I cannot understand the problem what happened? Wireless adapter finds the connection? You get any error?

The wireless driver is installed. I get the message 'driver is currently active but not in use' or something like that.

Yes ok network manager finds your wireless router connection?

The only way I can access internet wirelessly is via my desktop usb wireless adapter.

I may need these drivers. Could someone make a deb file out of them?

Look download it it's in source code and extract it. In readme file there are intructions on how to install it. It's easy!!

I got my wireless working eventually. I cannot pin point it to any one thing. It may have been a combination of things. I installed the Windows driver via ndiswrapper (it said Hardware present; Yes). I installed b43-fwcutter and got drivers from sendspace.com/file/9qchv0...
