Can't View List of Shares in Nautilus, but can browse shares directly

Hello everyone!

Here's my issue...

I run opensuse 11 at work. I'm trying to see the list of shares on a "server" that is running windows server 2000.

If I try smb://server, it doesn't show any shares, but I can browse directly to it such as smb://server/share1.

If I use smbclient, it returns the list of shares correctly.

I guess I just don't understand why smbclient shows the list of shared folders, but nautilus cannot.

Any Ideas?

I apologize. It seems to be a bug in nautilus. Konqueror works fine...

Here is the bug listing.

SuSE has a "Samba Client" configuration wizard in YaST2 where you can enter your Domain, username and password and have it cached. Could that help with your Nautilus problem?

jschiwal -

Thanks, but I log onto multiple domains throughout the workday... so although that may help, its not really the domain caching that seems to be the issue...

I'll just wait for the gnome fix.

Thanks for the input!
