interesting to see the difference between "open source" and "proprietary source" - usually the comparison goes "open source - binary blob".
i will have to check my verbiage better in the future.
it seems my main point was "proprietary" (the reasons behind that choice, the consequences - because we all know where the money comes from when you give the software away for free) vs. "free" (as in richard stallman).
