Question Ubuntu "9.04" EeePC 1000H latest Firefox latest Flash unreliable

I installed Ubuntu 9.04 from scratch on my EeePC 1000H. I had been running Easypeasy, basically Ubuntu 8.10 and it worked okay. I read that 9.04 was a little better and boots faster. It does. Flash had been working with 8.10. I have done no special configuration for the netbook.

Now flash sometimes works, but is really flaky. The same video, if downloaded and played with Movie Player works fine. Some videos will not play at all, e.g. Hulu will not play or down load.

I upgraded to Firefox 3.5 and the latest Flash player to no avail.

Everything else seems to be working okay.

Thanks,
Dale

After researching on other sites, I found two suggestions which I applied. I'm not sure if the first had any effect, but it did nothing alone. I de-installed Python 2.5, leaving Python 2.6. I de-installed non-Adobe plugins. Now YouTube and Hulu work fine.

Later,
Dale
