Exclamation Sony Vaio VGN-S5HP

I have a SONY VAIO VGN-S5HP with as serial ATA INTEL 82801.
No linux distribution can format or install anything on it.
For example Suse freexes during the format. Other like Kubuntu after copying the files in the reboot say , so sync or no init found,
I m desperate , I need Linux to work on my Laptop.
Any ideas???
P.S. There are no drivers by intel or Sony for Linux!!

Thanx

You should try Fedora 5. After installation reboot, and pass acpi=off command to the kernell on the bootloader menu. Update linux through system tools and that will fix the problem. If you need further assistance dont hesitate to contact me drbiloukos@hotmail.com
