Unhappy Problems Installing Mandrake 10 on Laptop 1555CDS, no cdrom detected.

I am installing (trying to at least) Mandrake 10.1 on my Toshiba 1555CDS Laptop. It boots off of a CD and preparations for the installation take place. After enabling PCMCIA cards I get a "No CDROM device found" error. I can't get past this.

Help?

Thanks in advance

I'm having the same issue with my cdrom drive. I was given an old Toshiba laptop and i'm trying to install Mandrake 10 just for kicks and besides Microsoft sux and Win95 is too old to do anything with. I think it's a 133MHz Pentium with 32MB RAM, 3 GB HDD and Windows95. But anyways, i downloaded the ISO and burnt a CD. It's the same Distro that is working beautifully on my desktop PC by the way. After changing some BIOS options, i can boot from CD and get to the initial Mandrake instll menu. After install starts, it recognizes some hardware components, but then fails out and says CD rom not detected. Any ideas for any the Super Gurus on here would be most appreciated.
