Unhappy No Sound Es1869

Please help me, I am absolutly newbie in Linux.
Some days ago I installed Mandrake 9.1 on my Compaq Armada 3500 Notebook (P2 366, 192 MB RAM).
Everything work fine but my sound.
When I installed the OS the Sys. asked me, if I have an ISA-Card, because I thought no, I answered with no, and now of course it dont works. Today I read on this site, that it is obviously an ISA Card, and now I ask, if or how is it possible to install it again. I tried to use Drake, but couldnt find anything to use. Does anybody have an idea?

Lightbulb ESS ES 1869 - 1868

Now I've found the solution for my problem, and it can be interesting for other newbies in Linux.
The ESS ES 1869 can work in Linux, if you say while installation its a ISA-Card, what I didnt know.
If you dont do so, the Prog. "sndconfig" will not be installed. This is nescessary later to configure the "card".
When the installation is finshed, you have to open the console and say "sndconfig". There you have to say: ES1868.
The settings are as follow: E/A Port= 0 x 220; IRQ 5; DMA 1; MPU-E/A 0 x 330 on my Compaq Armada 3500 (!!!)
