Install Bodhi linux 1.4 on Dell Latitude 110L Laptop, nothing works and I don't know how to activate the applications
Hello good afternoon, my problem is the following: I am a disabled person and my family and I are of low economic resources, my mother was given a Dell Latitude 110L laptop from 2005 and as described above we do not have to hire a computer scientist to put to work the laptop, instead of that I am doing it, and I have encountered all the obstacles in the world, first the characteristics of the laptop: Dell latitude 110L, intel pentium M 1.70Ghz, with i686 architecture, 512Mb memory and 60Gb hard drive, they gave me a usb boot with zorin to format and it wouldn't boot, it told me, problems in the kernel because the iso was x86-64 and my kernel was i686, so while studying I looked for possibilities and I found bodhi linux 2.4, 32 bits and neither, it told me that the kernel had features that are not in the cpu, I searched again and found bodhi 1.4, I created the usb boot again and I thought at first that it had worked, but no!, apparently the interface works fine but cua When you are going to navigate, nothing, it has midori and it does not let me enter any pages, nor the bodhi linux home page to update the packages, be careful and I have internet, this is what it tells me "could not load the p. ssl handshake failed: a tls fatal alert has been received", I don't know how to activate the applications and honestly it's hard for me because everything is complex here and I don't know how to do things, however I've looked for tutorials that explain how to use it , how to update or how to change the browser precisely with this bodhi linux 1.4 and I can't get anything nobody talks about it.
Could it be that you can help me and shed light on what I should do and how, or if I should choose another version that can be handled better.
This is an English only forum and I have translated your post. Bodhi 1.4 is no longer supported which is why you can no longer update packages. I suggest trying the latest version of antix 32 bit.
Thanks Michaelk, for giving me a halo of light in this darkness, I'll try antix 32 bits then, and I'll tell you how it went.
Hey, among other things, to make things right, I ask you: since you told me that this forum is only in English, does that mean that I should write in English or am I allowed to continue writing in Spanish?
