I have a zv6233nr (or zv6000 as it is more comminly known) and i just can not get linux running. I have tried every version of Linux i can think or (both x86 and x64 versions also) and i just can not get linux on it. I was thinking about putting Ubuntu or FC6 (or 7 if it has wireless capabilities) but i just cant get anything to work...i have tried about 6 or 7 different linux's inclutiong gentoo 2007.1 (i think) SUSE 10.2 Ubuntu Festy and Damper Drake. If you guys could help me figure out how to get linux onto this machine i would be very thankful.
I run Mepis 6.5 on my zv6000. No problem with the install and usage, other than I had to use ndiswrapper for the broadcom wireless, and I have not tried using the card reader.
You may also have better luck with the live cds and installs if you allocate some system memory to the video (assuming you have the same m200 ATI that I have). I've noticed several live cds fail for video related reasons if using just the dedicated video memory.
