Hi,

Maybe it's just your keyboard layout. Try typing the password when you're asked for the username (that will show if it gets through correctly).

so i logged in...still looks like a msdos and ita says welcome to ubuntu!
then
found new beacon on frecuency 2472 mhz ch 13 on phy0 and thats all

You have that wrong first of all. That is what linux really is. MSDOS looks like linux

Try running startx and see if it runs your X server. Also try "init 5" if startx doesn't work, and report back your findings. It may be possible that your graphic chipset is not being detected.

Append sudo before the commands.

Ok, I say init 5, so you would type "sudo init 5"

yepp i tried....it shut downs the computer with startx
then with the sudo init 5 says need to be root....
any suggestion ?? thanx

For the password, use your root password.

it keeps dying on me...it said port parallel and something else i couldnt read :S:S:S
is it that hard to use it??

I think it would be awesome of you if you could somehow get me the exact error messages that you are getting

first, when i turn on the computer says media test failure..check the cable
now when i type su - it says authentication failure and it continues doing the same
i really dont know what to do anymore....im about to install it again....

pxe-e61 says the computer,
then intel-agp-enabled err - 16
then unknown symbol intel_max_stolen

then with startx it says: open /dev/fb0: no such file exist

i can try it perfectly with the usb..works good as long as i dont use it from the hdd.....but after i log in all this messages appear....kinda tiring :S
