Fedora: USB mouse gone after resume

FC3 on an IBM Thinkpad T20. USB Optical mouse (Logitech).

The mouse works fine until i suspend the system (apm -s). The suspend/resume works great, but the mouse is gone (not even the light). I've tried plugging/unplugging the mouse, logging out/in, restarting X. Nothing helps except a reboot.

I also tried using ACPI and it was unable to go into suspend mode (older system i guess). So i switched back to apm.

Any idea how to fix this? I've thought of trying to hard start the USB sub-system but I don't know how to.

Thanks
-Thomas

I think the thing to do is to compile usb support as modules and unload the modules before suspending and then loading them after resume. You can find out the culprit by experimenting a bit with which modules to unload before suspending.

I'm pretty sure fedora has a directory with scripts that get executed when "apm -s" is executed. Probably something like /etc/sysconfig/suspend. Not sure. Once you know what needs to be done, you can place an appropriate script there for suspending and resuming.
