Camera not working

I have a mac pro laptop that I put linux mint tricia 19.3 on. I only have linux on my laptop, no apple. I am not able to use my laptops camera. I have installed cheese but it says that no device is found. Additionally, when I try to use zoom my camera cannot be recognized. I am semi-familiar with linux so some help with this issue would be useful. Thank you.

If it does not work with Cheese, there's still a very good chance it will work with GUVCVIEW. It should be in the repos.

Uninstall your camera driver and scan for hardware changes
In Device Manager, on the Action menu, select Scan for hardware changes. Wait for it to scan and reinstall updated drivers, restart your PC, and then try opening the Camera app again.
