acpi toshiba satellite a105 - s361

i having problem getting the acpi module for toshiba started on my laptop( toshiba satellite a105-s361) . i has a flash bios ver. 1.4 .

i have tried recompiling the kernel (2.6.16) with the toshiba and toshiba_acpi as embedded n as modules with all permutation n combination but things just dont work.

i get a log entry saying that its not a toshiba supported laptop.

i have downloaded most of the shit i came across but all seem to based on the toshiba_acpi module.

the major diffculties i am facing is with fan(over heated cpu) n brightness.

someone please deliver me!!!

I have a Toshiba a75s231, if you have a Phoenix bios like I do there is very little ACPI support, I had to go into the bios and disable Hyper Threading to get my fans to speed up and slow down as they should, after I did that no more overheating, also if your laptop is around a year old you may need to take it apart to clean out the fans, I had to do this as well.

I have never had any video issues so I'm not sure what to do about that.
