ACPI can't detect temperature and fan speed

Hi guys

I've got a Fujitsu S6410 laptop with ubuntu 7.10 installed atm
ACPI can't seem to report the right temperature, when i do
cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zome/TZ00/temperature
it always print 27C no matter what
but lm-sensor reports ~45 when idle and 68 when under load like compiling stuff
obviously that isn't very good for a laptop =\
it can't seem to change the fan speed either, my fan don't spin up or down at all
when i do
ls /proc/acpi/fan
the folder is empty
summer is only just starting in australia
is it possible to manually adjust fan speed?

Many laptops don't use a full ACPI standard. Makers of notebooks cut corners where they can to get the laptop prices down. Like the $5.00 saved on winmodems so as not to have a real uart chip on it.
