Ubuntu 19.04. Epson printer XP-2100. Downloaded files from Epson site but printer doesn't print

I have been trying to get the printer working. It sends the paper through but it is blank. The files I have downloaded are from the Epson site.

mattnorb,

I assume that you installed lsb prior to installing the Epson drivers?:

Code:
sudo apt install lsb
I think the Epson Printer Utility ver. 1.1 (epson-printer-utility_1.1.0-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb) is sufficient on its own.

The generic epson-inkjet-printer-escpr_1.7.6-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb has limited functionality.

I normally use gdebi to install the deb packages:

Code:
sudo apt install gdebi
You could try removing the package(s) and then reinstalling, but maybe you have done that already?

I have just used gdebi and it says that 27 additional packages (see attached screenshot) are required, so I think that is where your problem may lie.
