BIOS "Verifying DMI Pool Data ..." Hangs...
Hey everybody,
So I am having an issue installing a new computer with Linux. I am installing SUSE Linux 10.1 Enterprise Desktop. The issue I am having stems from the fact of attempting to partition my hard drive in the following way.
2.0G swap
30.0G /
70.0G /home
200.0G FAT Partition - want to use this to communicate with Windows which I will install on another hard drive, and use the BIOS to select which hard drive to BOOT, not lilo etc.
The Problem I have though is when I make this partition on my Hard Drive when I install, the BIOS hangs on "Verifying DMI Pool Data ..." and the computer halts with no error message. Now if I take the FAT partition is taken away, everyhing is fine and linux boots as it should.
Anybody have any ideas on how to make this work, or why it is not working?
