programming bash_profile to recognize certain virtual consoles

hi,

i'm using KDE, and in order to get transparency in many programs, i need to use the Esetroot program (which, in a nutshell, just kind of allows me to set the transparent image file that i want to use as my background).

well, i have 4 different virtual desktops that i use regularly, and i want to set Esetroot for each specific virtual desktop. in other words, if i am in virtual desktop 1, i want to be able to use the background of desktop 1. if i'm in virtual console 2, i want to be able to use the background of desktop 2.

so i want to program my .bash_profile to do so without me manually having to run Esetroot to specify the wallpaper of the desktop i am currently using.

e.g.

PHP Code:
if (in kde X)  // this line may not be necessary, i don't know
{
   if (
in virtual console 1)
     /
usr/bin/Esetroot /path/to/image1.jpg

if (in virtual console 2)
    /
usr/bin/Esetroot /path/to/image2.jpg

....

can someone tell me how this would work?

thanks!

guess nobody knows the answer... but it doesn't require knowledge of most of the stuff i've described -- i just need to figure out how to formulate the if statements...

oh well.
