Interpreting mail sent by logwatch

When I use my Redhat 7.3 machine I get sent mail that typically looks like this:

###### LogWatch 2.6 Begin #######

--------------------- ModProbe Begin ------------------------

Can't locate these modules:
char-major-226: 6 Time(s)
sound-service-0-0: 3 Time(s)

---------------------- ModProbe End -------------------------

------------ Connections (secure-log) Begin --------------

xinetd [909]: START: sgi-fam pid=1323 from=<no address>
xinetd [911]: START: sgi-fam pid=1326 from=<no address>
xinetd [911]: START: sgi-fam pid=1326 from=<no address>

------------ Connections (secure-log) End ----------------

--------------- sendmail Begin -----------------

778 bytes transferred
1 messages sent

--------------- sendmail End -------------------

Can anyone help me with what these messages indicate?
I have heard sendmail is not good to have running. Is it best to remove it?

Thanks
