Dual booting Fedora 8 and FreeBSD 7 Release

Hello! I'm trying to dual boot Fedora 8 and FreeBSD 7.0 Release and keep running into a problem. I can install both without a problem but I have problems at boot-time with one OS not booting or not being available etc. I need advice on how to partition correctly and which boot manager to use and whether to put it at MBR or not and so forth. I have a 300GB hard drive and want to simply split it in half with Fedora 8 and FreeBSD. So which should I install first, which boot manager to use (Fedora GRUB or FreeBSD's boot manager? For Fedora, put it in MBR? or boot partition? Hopefully whoever reads this will catch on to what I'm actually asking. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Install FreeBSD in the first partition. I would recommend that you install Fedora before you install BSD and that you put its GRUB into the MBR. You can partition your drive before you start the install using a livecd such as gparted as Systemrescue. When you install BSD, tell it to use its STANDARD boot manager, which leaves GRUB alone. Once your systems are set up, boot into Fedora and add BSD to GRUB by inserting this into /boot/grub/menu.lst:
title FreeBSD
root (hd0,a)
kernel /boot/loader
boot
