Donating original source code.

I would like to hear some suggestions as to which organisation it is best to submit my source code for the best of the open source community.

Anything from Pastebin to Sourceforge should suffice.

I personally trust nobody's hosting services except my own, so I would definitely publish my code "into" my own webserver. Bu if you feel more comfortable to go for an open source organization, consider that any of them might bankrupt, fail or lose your source code anytime.

I would go for Github. Github makes it exceptionally easy for other to clone your repository to work on it.
