Bash does not suspend/cancel pm-suspend

I have Gnome 2.32.1 which is lack luster and does not have a suspend GUI for a specified amount of time, just suspend. Lets say I run
Quote:
echo 'pm-suspend' | at now + 5 minutes
and change my mind. control-c and control-z have no effect. Why is this?

Thanks in advance!

The "at" command runs in the background, so it won't receive any keystrokes like Ctrl-C and Ctrl-Z. You can stop it by finding the job number at gives you when you schedule the job and cancel the job by typing "atrm <job #>". If you look in GNOME's power options you should be able to have the computer suspend after a period of inactivity, which might do what you want also.
