the vmware program in suse8 doesn't work properly. You need to get the installation from the website and reinstall it in order to make the network interfaces to work.

Second:

Iptables seems to have a problem too..

I remember that I used the following command to forward my packets from the guest OS to the hosty machine.

iptables -A FORWARD -o ppp0 -i vmnet1 -j masquarade

But I get an error in the command about the masquare thing that there is a file missing. (masquerade.so)

So I reinstall the iptables again and the shut it down and went to bed..
I haven;t tested yet, I will in a few hours.

Can some remind me the iptables command that forwards the packets from the guest OS (vmnet1) to the host OS to output them to the ppp0 interface.
