I installed Suse Linux 9.1 from the boot disk and found that at the very end of installing the packages, it tells me suse-build-key gave errors. It doesn't tell me what those error were, just that there were errors. This prevents me from running any updates.

Then I got the Suse Linux 9.1 Personal disk and installed from that, thinking there would be a valid suse-build-key package inside it, and that gave me the same error message.

I have read newsgroups and forums to determine the cause of this error. I have downloaded the suse-build-key package from the Suse site itself to make sure I have the correct one and I get the same error.

I've even run the public key page from the Suse site with gpg to create the key and no such luck. I still cannot run update.

Has anyone had this problem and what did you do to resolve it?

I had the same problem before, and it turned out to be a CD problem. I managed to correct this by going to Install and Remoce Sofware, searching for suse-build and checking it (it was checked, I unchecked and checked agian), then I cleaned the CD and installed the package.
