Installing the Montavista Mobilinux 5 kernel on a mobile handset/cell/smartphone

Does anybody know how to compile the montavista 5 kernel for mobile handsets/smartphones. Create the initried file so you can boot the kernel independently from a microSD card and load it into the ramdisk. Then have the initried file automatically extract the root filesystem /

Also configure it to automatically load in verbose mode so I can see any hardware issues and I am expecting allot...

I do not care what mobile handset/smartphone is used, I only care about the methods and the approach to do this. Once I get the Kernel running I will then Install the Mobilinux distribution on top.

Hardware First --> Then Software Last

Please any relative advice is good advice...

Feel free to send me a email: beyondthehour@gmail.com
