Installing GCC


HELLLLP!!!....lol

I'm trying to install gcc on my box here but no clue where to begin, i know I have to make a directory...but where? then I know I have to configure it and give it a target? but what...where?

you're on suse right? just install the rpm's from your distro cd via yast. i'd really really recommend avoiding compiling gcc from source, which you appear to be looking at.
