Question

I am downloading phat linux, and I already have Red Hat Linux, but that is too much for my needs ,I only want to browse the web, use email, play basic games and use office tools. And maybe a bit of photo editing(With GIMP).

If any of you have tried PHAT Linux with any of the uses that I have said, could you please tell my how usefull it was and how stable it is.

Thanks alot....

I'm not sure that using PhatLinux is a good idea. Since it is using UMSDOS partitions, it's performance probably sucks. If you like it lean and mean, why don't you check out Debian and give it a shot with a minimal installation?

If you want something to run while in Windows, you might want to check out vmWare, which gives you a virtual PC on your real PC (very slick, BTW!).

Why couldn't RedHat do all that for you with a minimal install with it?
