Debian based, lightweight and OpenGL 4 compatible ?

Hi there,

I'm looking for a distribution with the following characteristics :

- Debian (apt) based
- OpenGL 4 support for Intel Iris 540 (mesa 13 minimum I guess)
- Lightweight and stable, since it would be used for only one app in a live environment.

I tried Debian itself with Openbox but it isn't possible to upgrade to the suitable mesa drivers.

I plan to install it on an i5 NUC

Thanks for helping,

Matthieu

Debian Stretch has 13.0.6, and it is also in Jessie backports.

Thumbs up

Oh I somehow missed that !

Enabling the back ports repository and

Code:
apt-get -t jessie-backports install libgl1-mesa-{dri,glx}
solved my problem.

THANKS !

Matthieu

Unfortunately I spoke too fast. While enabling the back ports repository enabled me to install Mesa 13, I still don't get OpenGL 3.2+.

Looks like the intel drivers for the Iris 540 Intel Graphics doesn't load correctly. I'm opening a new thread to get help about it. For those interested, please follow this link to the conversation.
