a Gentoo catagory?


i noticed that there is a lot of distros that have there own sub-forums (Fedora, Mandrake, etc.) but i dont see a gentoo section. Why is this? Was it ever there and if so why did it dissapere? if not then why isnt there one?

oh ok thank you i dindt know the distro makers had to ask for a forum here i always thought the arose out of need of someware to put everything

It's not that they need to ask (although pro-actively requesting would be nice), jeremy's policy is that for us to have a forum here for a distro, we need to have some kind of support from the Distro maker. for example, the Linspire forum has Lindowskendall as a participant - Lindowskendall works for Linspire and LQ's Slackware forum is the the official Slackware forum. So the support varies, but if the distributor won't agree to it, we won't have a forum.
