I feel half bad for RedHat. They are the biggest distro in linux I think pretty much un-arguably. So therefore they are the biggest target, but at the same time, are expected to perform the most. It's gotta be hard to be that big and try to also be at the top of your class.

At the same time though, I agree. It's almost the "I'm popular and can't hang out with my old friends now" syndrome. Nobody forced that upon them, and I'm sure they aren't exactly crying with their pockets full

RedHat doesn't get the recognition they deserve, but on the other hand, they get too much in areas they don't deserve it. So it balances out I guess in the end. That and I really looked up to them when they decided to step up to the plate with this whole SCO ordeal. That showed their true colors ( a large company with tux at heart ) and it was a nice reminder we are all on the same team.

According to these search results this link was first posted back in March 2002 and apparently before that even and subsequently numerous times. If you post this over at justlinux.com you'll be severely beaten about the head and shoulders.
