Why not go back and edit the posts. Remove the offenses.
They've already been removed (or rather, edited) by the mods. But seriously, I agree about posting the malicious batch files. It doesn't matter if it's a joke; some poor soul might download it, not know what it is, run it to find out, and BAM!
I agree. As entertaining as it is to think of putting a program up for download that will erase Windows machines, it's a really bad idea to do it in real life.
What if some poor person using Windows would innocently download it? How would you feel about that?
My real goal was to erase all of M$'s servers: that's why I had edited that file to include the "xcopy" line that copies the fork bomb onto M$'s servers and pipes it through "cmd /c" to execute it on the M$ server end.
But yeah: I shouldn't have posted that file, as it is extremely malicious. All it was really for was to bump this thread, but it happened to get me a 9-point infraction.
Pardon me if this sounds harsh, but do you really think that MS's servers would be insecure enough to allow something like a simple batch file to run like that? (I could be wrong, of course, but it doesn't seem likely )

It would be best if you did. Please do "think before you type", as sudo says (if you're not in the sudoers file) .

Reason: didn't need to waste page space with Kenny's [size=7]

Hey Kenny, I hate M$ and window$ too, but using malicious code to delete data is not the way to go even if they deserve it like the trolls we get here.
I bet anyone who runs that on a windows machine will get a message that it is 'not responding' and the person can simply send off a nice error report to M$, and remember there is always the 'send an error report wizard button' to help you with this, it also includes a help section (but don't try and use the 'help' because it causes the mouse to change to an hour glass and you get another exception error which you can also send to M$.)
anyway, you don't need to run that script, just wait 6-12 months and the whole system will fall down anyway.

Lol, if you're serious on that, then you're quite naive...
I still don't understand how that batch file was supposed to get to M$'s servers. It's not like there is someone operating the server, browsing LQ, who decided to click on Kenny's link, is it?
