The cheapest offer on the link provided by brianL is £1100 + VAT (=still below £1500!!!) in HP store.
I mean the specs are good (good for £1500). I bought my HP laptop 2 years ago. It's got all the fancy
stuff like blue-ray, hdmi, 4gb ram, etc, but the cost was slightly over £400.
Overpriced for specifications? - I think you are being too diplomatic in your comment.
I haven't got the slightest idea about the import duty.
I have been buying stuff from ebuyer.com for the last 5 years. They are usually quite good when it comes to prices.
I reckon two things contributed to the price:
1. the word 'elite' in the model name
2. the cost of windows licence
