very strange...alsa volume control

I recently installed FC2 on my box with a KM4M mobo and a SB Live 5.1 sound card. After running "yum update", the levels in the alsa volume control panel went crazy...meaning I now have about 50 levels for EMU10K1 PCM, EMU10K1 PCM Send, and EMU10K1 PCM Send Routing. Is this a bug? I do get sound, however, moving the bass and treble levels up or down also has no effect on the sound coming out of the speakers. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I got the same. I just ignore most of the sliders. I'm not fussy, as long as sound works, I'm happy.

kmix seems to work with alsa, and doesn't have so many sliders.

Cheers,
