Installation stuck at checking dependency when upgrading to FC 6

Hi,

I'm tring to upgrade from FC5 to FC6. Tried hard disk install and DVD install and in both cases the installation is stuck at "Checking dependencies" and the progess bar doesn't move. Mouse works and shows the "waiting" pointer. DVD media check passed.

Is it just taking too long to check dependencies or has it hung? How long did the dependency check take for you when you upgraded from FC5 to FC6.

check the other terminal screens, Ctrl+Alt+F<1 to 6> to see the actual backend proceses at various stages. should tell you what it's actually doing.
