Fedora overheating my Compaq Presario 2500 laptop

Hi,
I've just installed Fedora on my compaq presario 2500 laptop. But it seems it is overheating my laptop and shutting it down.
Any suggestions?
Rahul.

Have you got acpi turned on?

goto boot/grub/grub.conf

look for line

vmlinuz=kernalXXXX

add acpi=on at the end of that line.
