FC5 - Can I revert or install a previous version?

I installed FC5 over an FC3 installation on Thursday of last week. My system now locks up multiple times each day. I'd like to revert back to FC3 (which was completely stable on my box) or even to FC4 if that is an option. Is this even possible without a complete reload?

Thanks.

Nope, don't think it's a good option to try "revert-install" FC3 or FC4. If you do try running the FC3/4 installation CD and choose "upgrade" in the installation menu - your system will in best case be VERY unstable - most probably it won't start up.

Therefore, the best soulution is to do a complete re-installation instead (deleting FC5).

I figured as much. It's been less frequent yesterday and today, typically in a screen locked state and I can't wake it up. This basically means I shut off my PC at night when I leave my office and boot it fresh in the AM. It doesn't solve every proble, At times application response is very slow now (i.e. 10 seconds for a menu to pop up after clicking on it). I will live with it for the moment, but if it continues I will have to start over.

I wiped mine. Too many problems. Decided to try a different distro all together to see what comes of it.
