View Poll Results: Video Authoring Application of the Year
I use ffmpeg the most, but I'm voting Blender because even though it requires the learning of Blender, it's stable and does the trick without BS.
Kdenlive frustrated me before, as did Cinelerra...and two others which I can't even remember right now, probably because of trauma.
I consider video editing a sore spot on Linux, no real killer apps in my opinion (except Blender, but..that's Blender, go learn it, but, also... yeah...)
I picked KDEnlive.
As someone who does a lot of video editing, and who tried most of these, KDEnlive is quite usable, stable, and well-rounded. The fact that you can do masking (which is applied as an effect called rotoscoping), is nice. The fact that you can use LADSPA audio plugins just adds lots more potential. Lightworks is a close second, but the fact that Lightworks is proprietary means I can't pick it on this forum :P
