Web Browser links

I have debian 12 installed
If I look at an email link and click on it, it doesn't open a web browser

More information is needed. Please take a look at this, then provide more data, in particular

What email client and browser are you using?

What happens if you copy and past a link into the browser?

The more information you provide, the easier it is for others to help you.

If you are using a GUI email client, you might try opening it from the command line, then clicking on a link. There's a chance that a useful error message might appear in the terminal.

You mail also try using the left click context menu. Or if I'm understanding your problem correctly you might have a bad profile directory, I know what the OP is thinking oh god I've got to reconfigure everything from scratch however, in certain cases starting from ground zero might be the best possible solution.
