Fixed disappearing eth0... maybe?

I added the following lines to /etc/rc.d/rc.modules:
Code:
alias eth0 tg3
modprobe tg3
Will see whether that works - eth0 has stayed put through two reboots.

Not much success with the graphics adapter yet. Got it from here:

Things you can do using Linux, but impossible on Windows

Here is a compiled list from a LinuxQuestion posting (will be update accordingly):

6. Surf the internet, download files, pick up email without fear of the computer becoming infected with viruses, malware, etc. Linux - yes. Windows - it is possible to run as limited user which can limit malmare, but from my experience, it is difficult to use a Windows system as a limited user, and most people probably don't.

5. Ressurect old computer and use it as firewall, server, etc....

Linux incompatible with HP Compaq dc7900?

Adobe reader 7.0 Installation error

When Installing adobe reader 7.0 in Red Hat 9.0 ver 2.4.20-8 I am Getting Following error by RPM:

error: Failed dependencies:
gtk2 >= 2.4.0 is needed by AdobeReader_enu-7.0.9-1

When installed through Source code

GTK + UI Toolkit libraries ver 2.4 or greater not found
