Some python things don't work, hplip systray and Xfce panel profile backup.
hplip works a day or two after a fresh install, and for some reason I don't know,
clicking the systray icon doesn't open hplip window, but I can open it by its menu item.
This problem happens here for a fews years now, I thought that a fresh install of 15.0
would fix it.
Xfce panel profile is a little different.
As hplip, it works some time after a fresh install but it freezes after a few runs.
The window freezes when saving, loading or deleting a profile.
Is this just me? I think this is related to python since both run it.
A long discussion whether to leave the refresh button or not. They had the major change of putting it within the location bar, some 10 years ago, so I guess that's an increasingly important issue with the file manager.
Yes Xfce changed a lot. I'm still getting used to it.
Today I think that Xfce is more my style than Plasma-KDE5.
If you like the old KDE3, there is Trinity, I built it some time ago and it is working nice.
I tried hard but I can't get used to the new xfce, I dislike gtk3 so much, I ditched xfce after more than 10 years using it exclusively.
Few days ago I compiled lxqt 1.0.0 and I think I'll keep it. Before xfce I used IceWM, eventually I might switch back to IceWM and SpaceFM.
PS: I am still toying with the idea of compiling xfce 4.14 on Slackware 15. It would be nice if someone would fork xfce 4.14 porting it to QT5 including goodies like orage clock/calendar.

FWIW, Xfce-4.12 runs on -current, so I would imagine so would 4.14.
If you need qt-4, it will peacefully co-exist with qt-5.

you just used old packages from current? Not recompiled? I wouldn't do that
