Samba System Policy, Default User Policy

I am currently using my Samba Server as a PDC with Windows 98 clients. I am using the Windows system policy editor to generate config.pol files for these clients. I edit the policy ant then copy it to the [netlogon] share on the Samba server. My problem is this...

Policies I set under default computer appear to load and function just fine on client machines, but policies I set under default user seem to have no affect.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem. Policy's I set as default user work just fine. But if I add a user, policy's don't get applied.

Anyone else with this problem or an idea how to fix this?

I think I can do a workaround, variable netlogon dir for different users. But that's not very stylish. :P

Found the problem. The predefined samba groups in my ldap server did not have a corresponding linux groups. Once I made a unix group with the same name it worked.
