Advanced Multi Monitor: Mirrored and Extended Desktops Mixed (Mint 19)

In Windblows there is software available to do custom multi-monitor setups where you can have mixed configuration of extended desktops and mirrored desktops. I am looking to do this in Mint 19 as I no longer use windows.

Example, my situation is I have 3 monitors total. 2 in the office, and TV in the livingroom.

What I want is for one office monitor and the TV to be mirrored, while the last monitor is extended desktop.

Anyone know what tools there are for this?

Thanks a million

You're leaving us short of vital information. What have you got? How many video cards? How are they connected?

There is a facility for describing your setup. You need to write a video.conf and put it wherever Mint 19 checks for such. Google for 'example video.conf' and grok the 'man xorg.conf'. You only need the video section.

Ok cool, I will check out video.conf and xorg.conf and see what I come up with. Would be awesome if that's all built into this Linux distro. Sounds too good to be true LOL

It's just single card, 980ti with multi-outputs, using proprietary drivers.

Thanks.

Can't find anything for video.conf but actually lead me to reading about a CLI tool called xrandr, seems to be what I need.

I entered

xrandr --output HDMI-0 --same-as DP-3

And that resolved exactly what I am looking for. So my HDMI out is the same as primary monitor and my other monitor is independent. This is awesome. Thanks for the tip.
