Evidence

Honestly it's in the deleted scenes! One features a product designer talking about the deathstar ss a more sleek approach to the apple with teeth marks as seen in the new sleek apple pc's with the stalk removed

look at the stormtroopers they look like they were made for an ipod advert, the white sleek case and uber head-gear thats...

Linux is a lost cause!

Posted 11-14-2009 at 06:40 AM by jaymarting (The messy world of technology)

This is the quote I was told earlier this week by a colleague. "Linux is a lost cause."

HAS LINUX LIVED UP TO ITS PROMISE?

I don't for a second agree that Linux is truly lost but I do certainly agree with my friend and colleague that the promise Linux fortune tellers made has not come to pass. As we close in on 2010, I harken back 10 years to promises of a nearly dead Microsoft and a world run almost entirely by Linux. Good, bad or otherwise that just has...

So when should one upgrade?

Posted 11-12-2009 at 06:54 PM by Lufbery (The Slacker's Blog)

In my last entry, I quoted Alien Bob stating that Slackware assumes you're smart. Part of what that means to me is having a sense a how to tailor the system to one's own uses, and having the freedom to do so without the operating system insisting it be done its way. But what, really, does running an OS entail? Beyond installation, most of it comes down to certain configuration options, installing additional software, and maintaining the whole mess. Everything else involves actually using the software....
