Freud evil genius.

His was a strange do - Freud - his illiterate, fascistic, and obviously evil ramblings changed the world. So were they just fools, in the old days, that they fell for him, and as evil as him, or was it something important? Was it necessary to change the world and Freud just happened along?

Part of the reason I'm starting to keep this blog is because I've learned enough about Linux now to start forgetting stuff. Part of the key of using Linux is knowing which commands to use, and how to use them, in a given situation.

For example, I downloaded Alien Bob's MS Fonts SlackBuild script so I could install Georgia and the other good web fonts. I built the package and installed it, and then wondered why it wouldn't work!

Chrome OS: What could it mean for Linux?

Last week, Google put an end to the ongoing rumors and officially announced Chrome OS. Marketed as a solution for lower-end PCs and netbooks, Chrome OS is touted as running “within a new windowing system”. What’s interesting, though, is that it will run on top of a Linux kernel. Is Google’s Chrome OS project a step towards legitimizing (in the sense of marketing to the mass public) Linux?

Linux compatible game news!

As you may have seen by now, Frictional are offering their Penumbra series for $5 this weekend only, including a Linux version! We're seeing more and more quality games becoming available for Linux these days! As one of the major gripes about Linux is 'no games', this is indeed progress!

Blog of helios was the first place I saw this mentioned. In his post, Ken mentions that he has 10 promotional sets to give away to anyone who blogs about this offer. Well, that's part of the reason...
