Desktop Shortcuts

After having been a Zorin 15.3 user for a while, I finally have a need to put some web link shortcuts on my desktop.

But I find that I can't figure out how to do it and am unable to locate a tutorial. Seems to me that it should be a fairly simple process.

Is anyone here able to give me some guidance?

What desktop environment and file manager are you using?
