VectorLinux tutorial Screencasts / Video a How to Linux extravaganza

I'm a forum member at VectorLinux. I've started up a site of tutorial screencasts for distro opensourcebistro.com. What started as just a few video's and tutorials has blossomed into hundreds. Topics are sorted into catagories like...
Installation Screencasts
The Beginners Guide
Install anything on VectorLinux
Networking Applications
Gaming applications
There are many more folders each containing related screencast tutorials specific to the VectorLinux distribution. If you are interested in some step by step help and detailed introductions into some new things, it's definitely worth a look.

Wow,...
those sound really terrific! I'm going to give that a look, but I have a question.
If these are in "screencast"....will this work with just a (slow-ish) dialup internet?
Perhaps I could try to download,..and then playback later (rather than trying to view
them with dialup?) Well,..I'll do some experimenting, sounds too good to miss.

tutorial downloads.

You raise a good point. Vector is a favorite on older machines which may go hand in hand with a larger portion of it's users still being on dial-up.
So here is how you would download a tutorial.
Right click on the link that would normally take you to the tutorial and copy the link location.
Then in a terminal type
wget [Shift+Insert to paste address you just copied here]
press enter.
This will download the .htm portion of the tutorial. (Basic HTML instruction.)

Go back to the terminal and hit the up arrow key to bring up the wget line you just used. Change the .htm at the end to .swf. Then press enter.

This will download the actual flash part of the video. You can then watch them without the need for an internet connection by right click on the file that end's .htm and opening with a flash enabled browser. (Seamonkey, Firefox, Opera, etc.)

Thanks for the info about downloading the tutorials (with dialup). Yes,...I use Vector Linux on my older P3 computers, and it's just so much more complete a set-up than most of the smaller distros are. But Vector is really quick, (works very well with older hardware).
..I'll try out the downloading suggestions.
