VectorLinux and Slackware

I'm planning to install a Slackware-based distribution on my Toshiba A50 laptop. My first choice is VectorLinux 5.9.

Anybody knows what's the differences between this distribution and the Slackware itself? I've had my time running Slackware. I just wanna something easier and instant for now; and still, having the beauty of Slack.

Basically, if you want Slackware but want a lot of preconfiguring done already and like a traditional package manager, then Vector is the distro for you. You may also want to check out Zenwalk.
